Now bring me that horizon… Or at least a LEO for now..!
A good five hours ago I got home from BKK. Was my first trip there and then obviously also my first fight there. As you already know (If you have been following my blog) I went there to fight at the Queens Birthday.
We left Tuesday afternoon and arrived in BKK Wednesday morning after a good 12hours busride. Weight was good, I was pretty much on weight already Tuesday after a hell-run in a sweat suit (yea, I donno why but it seams like my trainer just loooooouves killin’ me…. whuut? I know I know u think i’m being a cry-baby again don’t ya? but it’s freaking more than 30 degrees out here)
Was first time I’ve been to one of those press conferences, and it feels like I’m heading the right direction :D
After weigh-in I could finally start drinking and eating again, and then after a bit of sleeping i finally felt completely ready for war.
Thursday night was fight night we arrived at the fighting area about 7.30 at night and then waited for an eternity until it finally was time for a TIGER to fight. The ring was placed outside and it was raining which made it shit slippery, Brian was up first, he had a good five round fight but lost by decision. After another loooong wait it was finally my turn to Rock N’ roll. while I was doing the Wai Kru my corner was told that it would only be a 3round fight, due to some television air time something for some of the later fights.
The fight was good and due to the shorter amount of time, the action was ON from round one.
during the fight I landed some good elbows, took her down once, did some good kicks and knees and this time I managed to defend from her pulling down my head down, I even gave out my first cut :D.
Oh yeah by the way; It was my first time getting oiled right next to my opponent before a fight too, that shit only happens in Thailand.. LOL..
I am really happy about this fight. Winning the fight is not the reason why I’m happy with it, but in the ring I really felt like the hard work my trainer Ngoo and I have put in to training for this fight payed off. I managed to correct my previous mistakes from last time I fought her, where I lost and turn it into a win, with the guidance from an awesome trainer.
I really love this part of fighting, when I can feel my improvements, getting one step closer to be the best I can be.
I want to thank my trainer Kru Ngoo. He really put a lot of hard work into me (he even put up with all my grumpyness and winning from cutting weight), and I’m happy to be able to show him it pays of. This win was a team win, I would not have been able to do it without him.
I also want to thank the tiger team for great support, it is awesome to be part of this “family”
well, I wonder what might come next, Hitting double digits at the Queens Birthday was one hell of an experience, one thing is sure, I’m going in the right direction, buuuut i guess i deserve chillin’ out with a few LEOs for a couple days, and then back in training to get ready for some more ASS-WOPPIN..
