Sparred at Nam Phan’s gym today

Man I haven’t seen UFC and Ultimate fighter veteran Nam Phan in over 2 years, to my surprise with him coming up through the rankings in the MMA community, he said “hey Justin, you you look different with your beard.” I got to watch him spar with my coach Adam Lynn who will be defending his belt in a few weeks. Nam has an upcoming event in the UFC soon as well so it was interesting to watch them spar. I honestly looked at them and as tired as I am/was, it motivated me and let me know where I need to get to one day. There are no secrets, hard work x time x dedication= the secret to being good at ANYTHING in life.

One thing about Nam’s gym that I really like is that I said the word “shit” and Nam said “hey man, no swearing in here ok? Say Shoot” It sobers me down and reminds me that although I fight and we all get beat up on a daily basis, this fight world is all about respect.

Another solid week of training and I am only left with a bloody ear and a little black eye.

Well, time to move in with my brother Aaron to our new apartment in Mission Viejo later today (just in case you want to further stalk me aside from reading my blogs.) AWESOME WEEK and to my Mexican family/anyone in the US who will go drink for a random party that has nothing to do with them/another reason for girls to dress up in skimpy “Mexican Themed outfits” Happy Independence day Mexico :P
