Life

I know I haven’t blogged in a week or so BUT I have a good excuse, I have been training about 3 times a day at Subfighter in Orange County California. I get done with class and am smoking tired, then I just hang around the gym. Training has literally taken over my life and to be honest, I never want to get a job again that will restrict training. On another note, to keep everyone posted, I am no longer gay…jk (no homo)

I signed up for a Nogi submission grappling tournament that will be held in Long Beach California on September 11th. It is the Grappling X tourney and should have a few hundred people so I will see where this goes. The difference with this tournament and others I have done is the experience. I normally do the intermidiate levels which goes up to 4 years, in this case, I will be fighting in the advanced division. I am maybe 3 months shy of 4 years of training BUT I have done a few advanced divisions in the past and placed AND my coach told me that it is time to step up to the plate. The example he used was “you are never going to hit a homerun if you never step up to the plate.” It makes sense and I am over being nervous for tournaments, I just am not one to like to lose. The picture below is a few guys still training at about 930 pm. My class was finished at 9 but like I said, I never leave this place.

Another cool thing about this gym is that there are a lot of Marines that train here. One of my coaches was a former Machine Gunner and has the Marine mindset that never leaves you which can actually be used to your advantage MINUS when you shake attractive women for no reason…:S jk Well on that note, time for bed so I can wake up and get beat up in the AM.
