Competing in the 2011 Nogi World Championship this Saturday

Wish me luck this Saturday as I compete in the 2011 Nogi World BJJ Championship. I will be doing the Blue Belt light weight division which will have a handful of competitiors from schools that are from all over the country as well as the rest of the world. I have three of my boys from Paragon BJJ in Laredo TX that will be flying in for the tournament so it will be cool to hang out with them before and after.

I was waiting for after my fight to register so I could make sure I was injury free and I only ended up taking maybe 3 punches so I decided to register when I was on my “high”. I have now noticed condsidering this was my biggest venue, I feel mentally drained due to the stress and build up leading to the fight. Anyways, the Marine inside me (no homo) always takes over, so I have decided that I will do this tournament anyways and perform! For this week I am in chill mode training once a day until it is time to step up to bat. Maybe I will take it chill next week and get a tattoo as I recover mentally from the competitions. Then it is back in full on beast mode training 3 a days in preperation for my next fight in Vegas December 31st! :)

I am set on what I am getting inked on my body but it is a toss up between that and the image below ;)
