Training with a hero of mine!
I’ve been pretty depressed for the last 3 months as I haven’t been able to train since I injured my ankle and knee while preparing for a fight at Lumpinee stadium.
But today my spirits have been lifted after being able to train with Nontachai Sit O.Nontachai is one of my favourite fighters of all time and a huge inspiration for me. He held the prestigious title of Thailand Champion at 122lbs and 130lbs and had some absolute wars with the best fighters of his era. I love his walk forward, clinch and knee style.
He was a training partner of TMT trainer Fasuchon (another Muay Thai legend) and now he will be at the fighters ring here, sparring and clinching with the fighters every day to help prepare us for fights. He’s big for a Thai, standing over 6ft and currently weighing around 80kgs, that means he’s a great training partner for some of the bigger fighters that come through TMT.
Even though my knee is still injured and I can’t train full out, I got a good clinch session in with Nontachai today. Feels pretty awesome to be training with a hero of mine! :-)
