I just want to fight again :(
It’s been 14 months since I got injured and my leg is still in pain every day and impossible to train around. I’ve gone through months of physio, been to a bunch of different massage therapists but I’m still not getting better. This is so frustrating and depressing, Muay Thai is all I want to do with my life. For the past year I’ve been getting great opportunities from promoters but had to turn them down every time. Today my manager Phet (who is up in Chiang Mai getting the new TMT gym ready) asked me if I was recovered yet and if I could fight at Rajadamnern for Songchai Ratanasabuan, who is the biggest promoter in Thailand. That would have been a dream come true for me, a chance for me to follow in the footsteps of my trainer Kay who was a main event fighter for Songchai in the 90′s. But instead I’m still stuck on the sidelines, watching others do what I love. This situation is driving me crazy!
Next month I will be going back to the UK and getting more scans on my leg, hopefully they will finally give the doctors an idea of what to do to get me healthy again. Just have to keep praying until then I guess.
